Office opening supports an even brighter future for the community, says Mayor
As part of an ambitious plan to grow its presence in Northern British Columbia, VERICO Paragon Pacific Mortgages opened a storefront in Dawson Creek this past September. Lori Lalonde, broker/owner of VERICO Paragon Pacific, celebrated the event with mortgage industry professionals as well as community and government leaders. Mayor of Dawson Creek, Dale Bumstead, was on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony and officially welcome Lalonde to the Dawson Creek business community. “The City certainly appreciates the commitment you and VERICO have made to our city and our downtown business community,” said Bumstead. He added that “the economy of Northeast British Columbia has never been as diverse and as strong as it is today,” a sentiment that is reflected by Lalonde’s ambitious expansion plans. “Within the next 12-18 months, my goal is to open up a storefront in Fort St. John,” she adds, “growing my business to 300 million in yearly loan volumes by 2020.”
The success of VERICO Paragon Pacific Mortgages is built on the strong relationships Lori builds with her clients and community. “Now that I’m in the heart of downtown Dawson Creek, I’m looking forward to being able to expand my volunteer involvement in the community.” Lalonde understands better than most that mortgage brokers need to become leaders of trust and confidence in the local economy, something that her mentors Steve Rogerson and Nick Douce also incorporate in their brokerage, VERICO Paragon Mortgage Group.
“Certainly the City is stronger today having Lori as a business leader in our community,” says Mayor Bumstead who recognizes the significance of VERICO Paragon Pacific Mortgages for the local economy.
Lalonde believes that customer service sets her apart from other brokerage firms. “Whether my client is a first time home buyer or a seasoned home-owner, availability to my clients is key.” She is as committed to them as they are committed to their mortgages. Additionally, she makes optimal use of the tools and services she gets from VERICO, which she describes as “the leading mortgage network in Canada.” She highlights Broker Base, “a fabulous system which allows brokers to effortlessly stay in contact with their clients” and asserts she is able to find “the best rates and products for clients” because of the strong relationship VERICO has built with lenders in the industry.
With the tools and services provided by VERICO, the guidance of Rogerson and Douce of VERICO Paragon and the strong presence in the local community, Lori Lalonde and VERICO Paragon Pacific Mortgages are set to exceed their short and long-term business goals.
